Snoop Dogg, Corde Broadus and Family Mourn Death of 10 Day Old Grandson Kai Love (Full Story)

Losing a family member is never easy, if you’re a regular person or celebrity.

The pain is the same, and now Snoop Dogg and his family are in mourning over the loss of his grandson, who was born just ten days ago. The newborn baby seems to have died in the hospital.

Pregnancy can be both a wonderful, and a horrible thing. You get through so many things in just so little as nine months,

but you always look forward to having a baby that you’ll see grow up and develop into a human being. But there are moments when you are not so lucky, and your days with the baby are numbered.

And this seems to happen to Snoop’s oldest child.

Corde Broadus, Snoop’s 25 year old son, revealed his son, Kai Love, was born on September 15, but unfortunately died on Sept. 25. Also Corde had posted a video of his daughter kissing Kai as someone else was holding the baby. But his happiness was short lived.

Kai was Corde’s third child. And he already has a son, Zion, and daughter Elleven. That made him Snoop and Shante‘s 5th grandchild.

The baby was still in the hospital when it happened. He was apparently in the neonatal intensive care unit, when he eventually passed away. A dry erase board outside his room had the words “Love + Light” written on it under the “Plan for the Day.”

The family hasn’t revealed the cause of the baby’s death just yet. But Corde wrote on Instagram: “My son did all he needed to do in his 10 days here on earth. He has now graduated and continuing to do work. He died in my arms and that feeling of energy will never leave me.”

And you can imagine the whole family is in mourning. Snoop’s wife, Shante, poured out her emotions in a song on Thursday. And she tearfully sang along to the 1970s Dells hit, “The Love We Had Stays On My Mind,” and you could clearly see how deeply affected she was.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the family in these horrible moments.
