After several difficult years, R&B trio June’s Diary has revealed that one of its members’ residences burned down last week.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist the singer in getting back on her feet after the fire reportedly destroyed everything she owned.
On the reality television programme “Chasing Destiny,” Kelly Rowland and the director Frank Gatson Jr. founded June’s Diary back in 2016. The five women, Gabrielle “Gabby” Carreiro, Ashly Williams, Kristal Lyndriette Smith, Brienna DeVlugt, and Shyann Roberts,
signed a contract with L.A. Reid’s label, Epic Records. However, things didn’t turn out the way they had anticipated.
We didn’t really hear from them again after they released a few singles in 2016 until rumours that K. Rowland had left the girls started to spread.
In addition to showing her followers her house in flames yesterday, Kristal used Instagram to talk about the impact the fire has had on her life. Thank you God for sparing my family and I last night. I lost everything I had devoted my entire life to achieving,
including my entire home and everything inside of it. This has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through, even though I know that God has a plan and never burdens us beyond what we can bear. She said, All of my things, memories,
and items of enormous sentimental significance are gone just like that. I need your prayers, please, for Dwayne Spikes and I as well as the rest of my family, she added in her letter. We still have each other, which is why I praise God since materials can always be replaced.
If you want to donate money, I’ll post my PayPal and Cash App accounts. And if there are any locals who want to make a physical donation, please email me. Only slightly more than $1,400 of her $20,000 target has been contributed as of around 22 hours after the GoFundMe page was started.
